The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) continued its Corrections’ Week Activities 2019 with our Exposition and Awareness Day on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at the St. Catherine Sports Complex (Prison Oval).
Minister of State in the Ministry of National Security the Hon. Rudyard Spencer commended the DCS for the excellent work they continue to do to ensure the rehabilitation of offenders. “I must congratulate and commend the DCS for the work you continue to do. This exposition and the various items on display is a strong indication that DCS continues to transform the lives of those who come under our care.”
The Day’s activities included: booth displays, a road march, a drill display competition and a mini-concert.
Congratulation to the Head Office, Staff College and Search Centre team, who placed first in our Drill Display Competition.
The DCS Exposition an Awareness Day 2019 is a part of our Corrections Week of activities, geared towards promoting the department to the wider Jamaica.
