The DCS uses this medium to remind members of the public of the availability of online banking facility to transfer credit to the tuck cards of inmates/ wards within our 11 Correctional Centres islandwide.

Please follow the steps below to update inmates/ wards accounts:

Step 1

Make deposits to:  Bank of Nova Scotia (ScotiaCentre Branch)

Account Name:  Department of Corrections Project Fund

Account No.:  10908-7815

STEP 2

After completing the deposit, you will need to send a message to (876) 319 1616 or email: projectaccount@dcs.gov.jm. Your email should include –

1. Reference Number or Receipt Number for the transaction
2. Inmate/Ward name and date of birth
3. Name of Correctional Centre where your relative is housed
4. Scanned copy or photograph of your photo ID (for example – Driver’s license; Passport or National ID)

The maximum deposit per inmate or ward is JMD$20,000.00 monthly

STEP 3

For In-Branch transactions, you will need to inform the teller that you are doing a bill payment to the Department of Corrections Project Account # 109087815 and provide the three-letter abbreviation for the institution followed by the sender’s TRN to complete the transaction.

Please note that the DCS does not charge a fee to update inmate or ward accounts, and funds deposited online and in-branch are updated to inmate/ward accounts within 24 hrs of a successful transaction.
