A search is underway to locate three wards of the state, who earlier today, Saturday, May 27, 2023 absconded from the Rio Cobre Juvenile Correctional Centre in St. Catherine.

The wards are Eric Simpson, Ian Wright and Rushawn Gordon.

Preliminary reports indicate that the wards, while returning to their dormitory from the dining room, ran from the officers escorting them, and jumped the three perimeter fences.

The DCS has notified the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
