JOB PURPOSE
Under the general direction of the Commissioner of Corrections, the incumbent shall advise Management on the appropriate Communication Strategies that will ensure that staff and other stakeholders are consistently provided accurate information in a timely manner. He/She will develop and implement Communication Policies for the different services and strategies to ensure that the bottlenecks and barriers to effective communication are minimized or removed where possible. Also, continuously assess the communication needs in the department and implement plans and strategies to address these needs while ensuring that a positive image of the Department is enhanced and maintained.
